*My User name and why I choose it?* The Moff, Moff is what Mrs F, Mr S and Old Nick (ie my parents and godfather) call me.

*My Real name* – Faeries don't tell their real names. Silly.

*My Location* – University halls

*Number of candles that appeared on my last birthday cake* - 19

*Date that I regularly blow them out* – 4th November

*My Place of Birth* – Whipps Cross- making me a cockney (that's right isn't it mum?)

*My favourite food* – Most things with garlic and chilli. It depends on the day. Ethnic food is good; vering from Spain to Africa to Eastern Europe. Don't much like food further north than Spain or further East than Prague (only in Europe - middle east and onward good). A little obsessed with food, can you tell?

*My Favourite movies* – Star Wars, 10 things I hate about you, tomb raider, matrix 1, Harry Potter 1 to 3,

*My Favourite holiday* – Cypress, Norway, last two Irelands, Denmark, Catalonia, every trip to Glastonbury/Bath, Italy, Ibitha

*My Favourite day of the week* – I like Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday.

*My Favourite restaurant* – Won Kei, Raj Poot, probably more.

*My Favourite flower* – Roses; either ones with petals like dark red velvet or ones that are white/so brightly coloured that in the early morning summer sun light it hurts to look at them or the little dwarf ones that look ike stars from above.

*My Favourite drink* – Mead or Commanderia.

*My Favourite colour* – Black, silver and jewel shade of red, green, purple and blue.

*My Favourite TV Shows* – Something sci fi

*The shop I would choose to max out my credit cards?* - the Great Frog

*The 5 things I would take with me if I was going to be stranded on a desert island* – laptop with solar powered battery, a wireless internet thingy (this way I can download reading matter), hat, sunglasses, suncream

*If I could build a house anywhere it would be* – Cyprus or Cornwall.

*My favourite article of clothing?* - it's either going to be the combat boots I wear to death, the lace inset jumper now missing in action :**: or my black Byron shirt.

*My favourite song of all time?* - Marrianne or Red Sun Burns or Marakesh.

*The last CD I bought?* - Incubus

*My favourite song playing on the radio right now?* haven't listened to the radio since the summer.

*My favourite decade or era* - Now, there is good fashion, good music and a decent subculture (finally!!!)

*My favourite place to be?* - I like libraries. If people profane them it upsets me. Also the Chalice Well garden.

*The Hollywood star that would play me in a movie about my life?* Angelina Jolie (because lets face it I am Lara Croft)

*My Favourite season* - I love it all except for the last two weeks or so of winter and the first two weeks or so of Spring. I've always thought that change over is handled un proffesionally (remind me to speak to primavera about it). It also makes me irritable.

Public service announcement.

The library is not for make outs. You have flats for that. Your parents are probably half way across the country for crying out loud, it's not as if you need to hide from them. I don't care if it is raining. Also I need that book you're leaning on. Thankyou.

I set the book thief alarms off three times today with the same book. It just wouldn't accept that it had been taken out. (probably didn't want to leave the nice warm library). The security men found this very funny, although they fixed it for me in the end.

Also there was vegetarian haggis for tea and it tasted like real haggis which was good but wrong on a fundamental level - haggis shoud be made from the inner organs of hapless woolly creatures who say baa, not from soya.

Free trade week.

by the_moff @ 2007-03-08 - 14:35:02

It is apparently free trade week. This means they lurk outside our lecture theates offering unlimited free coffee and chocolate. I am now accordingly over caffeinated and feel slightly guilty - I already buy fair trade stuff so surely I should leave the freebies to people who need to be comverted? Oh well. The people who run the coffee bar here are pissed off while pretending not to be; the free coffee bar is right in front of them and they mostly sell the same products being given away in front of them so they're not really doing much business today.

Today we learnt all about imperial women. Disappointingly an adultery charge usually means they've attempted to off their husbands and put their sons from previous marriages on the throne rather than done a Messalina, it's just a lot less embarrassing if your wife is an adulteress apparently (not entirely sure why from a Roman point of view, surely an upwardly mobile wife is less of an embarrasment than one you've failed to satisfy, obsessed with virility as they were). Very much entertained by the Agrippina's though, incredible stage management. Similaly you would not want to mess with Livia. Or rather "the Augusta".

Saw Iolanthe last night, screamingly funny (although this may infact be due to the merlot). Resultingly deeply tempted to sleep through my tutorial but was vituous! (The friend was not and seems to have slept through several lectures too - I win. Or possibly she does as she will just borrow my notes and got to sleep in...:-/).

Woot!
